Prison sentence for former N.J. nurse found with violent child porn

A former nurse who had violent child pornography on his electronic devices is headed to federal prison.
Anthony Barbarino, 38, of Egg Harbor City, was sentenced in Camden federal court on Thursday to 33 months, the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey said in a news release.
Barbarino previously pleaded guilty to the federal charge of possession of child pornography.
He was arrested on Aug. 3, after authorities said they found 93 photos and 108 videos depicting the sexual abuse of children stored across three of his electronic devices.
Of those files, at least one included a child under 12 and at least one included sadistic or masochistic conduct, federal prosecutors said.
Barbarino was employed as a nurse prior to his arrest, officials said.
As part of his sentence, he has also been ordered to pay $13,000 in restitution and will be subject to 10 years of supervised release.
